Antivirus game

This concept follows closely to the game of asteroids game.

The stones found in the game would be the viruses found during the real-time computer scan or just randomly sized folders to give the impression that the user is destroying all those that slow down the virus scanning process or are destroying the virus found in their computer. At the beginning of the game it could provide an option on how should the program handle a virus which the user shot down in the game.

The ship would be customizable to the user’s liking. However, each attachment (e.g missile launcher for the ship) would not be just for visual effects. They would be extra plug-in the user would have bought free/paid during his upgrade of the antivirus program.

By making antivirus scans become into a game, users would not get stressed out while waiting for the antivirus program to finish. Since, most of the time, these program consume a lot of processing cycles at the expense of the user’s productivity. A possible benefit of this concept would be the involvement of the user in removing the viruses. This might increase the trust they have upon the program since they themselves were able to fly around the screen, find the stones representing the viruses being identified by the antivirus program and shoot it down with all the powerful weaponry (gotten through upgrades).

However, it is not to say that it is only through this game can the antivirus computer scan be done. There is always an option to toggle between the game and the normal antivirus screen we are all so used to.
