From the initial methods, the points of brightness from my image were extracted and amplified by a factor of five. Since, the locations and the amplitudes of the points were known, what was left was the shape to represent the final image (my face).
I chose square grids due to two reasons. Firstly, I did not believe that a rigid grid of squares could map the contours of the face. Secondly, I wanted to create a waffle effect to the image to give it the effect when looked through a vertical-strip glass door (commonly used as the door to isolate the shower area from the restroom)
